In celebration of the release of Lucky Peach Issue 3, journal co-founders David Chang, chef and owner of the Momofuku restaurants, and food writer Peter Meehan will gather for a Global Kitchen special event. Drawing from Issue 3’s theme of “Cooks & Chefs,” they will explore the advent of chef celebration and the shift from cooking for necessity to cooking for status. Surrounded by the reference point of the Stout Hall of Asian Peoples, which features cooking tools and historical kitchens, the group will consider traditional kitchens and food tools throughout the world and how our time spent in the kitchen has changed through time.
